Billing and Subscription
VDClip offers flexible plans designed to fit different content creation needs, from casual creators to professional teams. You can manage every aspect of your subscription directly from the dashboard: view your current plan, upgrade or downgrade, buy additional credits, update your payment method, and cancel or reactivate at any time.
Plans Overview
VDClip has multiple plan tiers, including a free tier that lets you explore the platform before committing to a paid subscription. Each paid plan unlocks additional features such as more processing credits, extra templates, additional social accounts, scheduling capabilities, and more.
Plans are available with monthly or yearly billing. Yearly billing offers a discount compared to paying month by month. Visit the pricing page for a full comparison of plan tiers, features, and current prices.
Navigate to the Subscription page from the sidebar or your profile menu to see:
- Plan name and tier you are currently subscribed to
- Billing period (monthly or yearly) and the current cycle dates
- Renewal date when your subscription will automatically renew
- Features included in your plan, such as processing credits, templates, linked social accounts, and scheduling
- Resource usage summary showing credits remaining, templates used, and connected accounts
Understanding Credits
Credits are the processing currency in VDClip. Every time you process a video (for example, generating clips, applying AI captions, or rendering a final export), credits are consumed. Simply uploading a video or browsing the editor does not cost any credits.
How Credits Work
Credits are allocated with your subscription
At the start of each billing cycle, your plan’s credit allocation is added to your balance. The number of credits depends on your plan tier. See the pricing page for details.
Credits are consumed when processing videos
Credits are deducted only when you process a video, not when you upload or edit. Your current balance is always visible in the header bar and in the Profile > Plan tab.
Monthly credits do not roll over
Unused credits from your plan allocation reset at the end of each billing cycle. This is a “use it or lose it” system, so make sure to use your credits before the cycle ends.
Extra credits can be purchased separately
If you need more credits before your cycle renews, you can buy additional credit packages from the Buy Credits page. Purchased credits have their own validity period, independent of your subscription cycle.
Your credit balance is always visible in the top navigation bar. You can also check a detailed breakdown in Profile > Plan. Keep an eye on your balance before starting large processing jobs.
Buying Additional Credits
If you run out of credits before your cycle renews, you can purchase extra credit packages.
Go to Buy Credits
Open the Buy Credits page from the sidebar.
Choose a package
Select from the available credit packages. Each package shows the number of credits and the price.
Select a validity period
Use the toggle to choose how long the purchased credits remain valid. Purchased credits have their own expiration, separate from your subscription renewal date.
Complete checkout
Pay through Paddle or PIX (Brazil). Credits are added to your balance immediately after payment confirmation.
Payment Methods
VDClip supports two payment channels depending on your location.
Paddle (International)
Paddle is a secure, trusted payment processor used by thousands of software companies worldwide. Through Paddle, you can pay with credit card, debit card, or PayPal. All transactions are encrypted and PCI-compliant. You can manage your saved payment details, download invoices, and update billing information through the Paddle customer portal, accessible from the Subscription page by clicking Manage Payment Method.
PIX (Brazil Only)
PIX is an instant payment system created by the Central Bank of Brazil. It is available exclusively for users in Brazil and offers a fast, fee-free way to pay for your VDClip subscription or credit packages.
Select PIX as your payment method
During the checkout flow, choose PIX as the payment option.
Fill in your personal information
Enter your full name, CPF (or CNPJ for businesses), phone number, and address. These fields are required by Brazilian payment regulations.
Use CEP for auto-fill
When you enter your CEP (postal code), the address fields (street, neighborhood, city, and state) are filled in automatically. You only need to add the house or apartment number.
Generate the QR code
After submitting your information, a PIX QR code is generated on screen. You will also see a PIX copy-and-paste key below the QR code.
Pay with your bank app
Open your bank app (Nubank, Itau, Bradesco, Inter, or any other PIX-enabled bank), scan the QR code, or paste the PIX key to complete the transfer.
Payment is confirmed automatically
Once your bank processes the transfer, VDClip receives confirmation automatically. This usually takes just a few minutes.
Credits or plan activated
Your credits are added to your balance or your plan is activated within minutes of payment confirmation. You can start using your new features right away.
Managing Your Subscription
Upgrading Your Plan
To upgrade, go to the Plans page from the sidebar.
Open the Plans page
Click Plans in the sidebar or select “Compare plans” from the Subscription page.
Choose monthly or yearly billing
Use the toggle at the top to compare monthly and yearly pricing. Yearly plans offer a discount.
Select the plan you want
Click the upgrade button on the desired plan card. You will be redirected to the checkout flow.
Complete payment
Finish the checkout through Paddle or PIX. Your new plan and features become available immediately after payment confirmation. The cost is prorated based on the remaining days in your current billing cycle.
Downgrading Your Plan
If you choose to downgrade to a lower tier, the change does not happen immediately. Your current plan remains active until the end of your billing cycle, and the downgrade takes effect when the next cycle begins. This ensures you continue to have access to all the features you paid for.
Canceling Your Subscription
You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Subscription page by clicking Cancel Subscription. When canceling, you will be asked to provide a comment explaining your reason. After canceling:
- You keep access to all paid features until the end of your current billing period
- Your account will not be charged again
- At the end of the period, your account moves to the Free plan
- Any remaining monthly credits expire when the billing period ends
Important: Cancellation does not issue a refund for the remaining days in your billing period. You continue to use the service until the billing period ends.
Reactivating After Cancellation
If you canceled but your billing period has not ended yet, you can reactivate your subscription from the Subscription page. Reactivating restores your plan so it renews normally at the end of the cycle, as if you never canceled.
If your billing period has already ended and your account is on the Free plan, you will need to subscribe to a new plan from the Plans page.
Tips and Best Practices
Yearly plans cost less per month compared to monthly billing. You can switch from the Plans page at any time.
Check your credit balance in the header bar before starting a large batch of video processing. Plan ahead so you do not run out mid-workflow.
If you consistently use all your credits before the cycle ends, consider upgrading to a higher tier for a larger monthly allocation.
If you have a temporary spike in production, purchase an extra credit package instead of upgrading your plan. Purchased credits have their own validity.
Access the Paddle customer portal from the Subscription page to download invoices and manage billing details.
