Processing Status

When you submit a video for processing, VDClip takes you to the processing page where you can track progress in real time. This page shows you the current status, progress percentage, and relevant information about your video.

Page Layout

The processing page displays several key sections:

Video Info Header

At the top of the page, you see details about the video being processed:

Thumbnail

A preview image extracted from your video

Title

The name of your video file or content

Duration

The total length of the original video

Processing Progress Card

The main section of the page shows the processing progress:

  • Progress bar: A visual indicator showing how far along the processing is
  • Percentage: The exact completion percentage
  • Status text: A description of the current processing step

Tip: You do not need to stay on this page during processing. You can navigate away and come back later, or find the video in your media library at any time.

Processing Statuses

Your video goes through several stages during processing:

Queued

Your video is waiting in the processing queue. It will begin processing shortly.

Processing

VDClip is actively analyzing your video and generating clips. The progress bar updates in real time.

Completed

Processing finished successfully. You will be automatically redirected to the results page to view your clips.

Failed

Something went wrong during processing. This can happen with unsupported formats or corrupted files. Try uploading the video again.

Expired

Processing took too long and was automatically stopped. This usually happens with very long or complex videos.

Expired Processing

When a video’s processing exceeds the time limit, an expiration info card appears on the processing page. This card explains that the processing was stopped and suggests next steps.

If your video processing expires, you can:

  • Try again: Upload and process the video once more
  • Use a shorter video: Trim the video before uploading to reduce processing time
  • Upgrade your plan: Higher plans may offer longer processing time limits

Premium Features

Free plan users may see a premium upsell banner on the processing page highlighting the benefits of upgrading. Premium plans offer faster processing, longer video support, and additional features.

Make sure your video is in a supported format (MP4, MOV, WebM) before uploading to avoid processing failures.

Optimize Video Length

Shorter videos process faster. If you only need clips from a specific section, consider trimming the video before uploading.

Stable Internet Connection

A reliable internet connection during upload helps prevent incomplete uploads that can cause processing failures.

Navigate Freely

You do not need to keep the processing page open. Come back anytime to check progress, or find the video in your media library.
