Use the official VDClip flow in Claude if it appears in the connector list. Until then, add the custom MCP server, sign in with a VDClip account, and approve permissions. For third-party hosts, prefer OAuth. For your own automations, token auth with an API key also works. Open VDClip to create an account if needed.
Fallback: custom connector
Open connector settings
In Claude, open Settings and go to Connectors (Claude web and desktop). Choose Add custom connector.
Paste the VDClip server URL
Give the connector a name (for example, VDClip) and paste the server URL:
Sign in with VDClip
Claude opens a VDClip sign-in window. Log in with your VDClip account, the same one you use in the app.
Approve permissions
VDClip shows a consent screen listing exactly what the connector can do (read your account, manage projects, upload media, render videos). Review it and choose Allow. You can revoke this later.
Start a conversation
Back in Claude, the VDClip connector is now available. Try: “List my VDClip projects.” Claude calls VDClip and shows the result.
