Social Connections
The Connections tab links your social media accounts to VDClip so you can publish videos without leaving the dashboard. YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Threads are supported. The number of accounts you can connect depends on your plan: see the pricing page.
Connecting an Account
Open the Connections tab
In your profile, select Connections from the sidebar. Each platform appears with a connect button.
Choose the platform
Click Connect next to the YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Threads account you want to link.
Authorize VDClip
You are redirected to the platform login. Sign in and grant the requested permissions. For Instagram, you can connect directly (without a Facebook Page) as long as the account is Business or Creator. See the Instagram connection guide.
Confirm
When you return to VDClip, the platform shows as connected with your username displayed. Instagram accounts linked through Facebook show a “via Facebook” badge, which is purely informational and does not change how your posts are published.
Status and Validation
Each connected platform shows the connection status, the username, the method badge (on Instagram, direct or “via Facebook”), and the Reconnect and Disconnect buttons.
Before publishing, VDClip validates the connection: it checks that the authorization token is still active, that the required permissions are still granted, and that the account is still accessible. If any check fails, the post is not sent and you need to reconnect.
Reconnecting
A connection can expire when you change your social network password, revoke VDClip’s permissions, the token reaches the end of its lifespan, or the platform updates its security policies. In those cases, a warning appears next to the platform.
Find the warning
Look for the warning indicator next to the platform that needs to be refreshed.
Click Reconnect
On the platform card, click Reconnect.
Authorize again
Sign in to the platform and grant the permissions as on the first connection.
While a connection is expired, scheduled posts for that platform are not sent. Check your connections before scheduling content.
Disconnecting
To unlink an account, open the Connections tab, click Disconnect on the platform card, and confirm. The account is removed right away. Posts already published are not affected, but any scheduled post for the disconnected account will not be delivered.
